Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will analyze financial data, propose adjustments, and ensure accuracy. You’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing various tax returns and documentation for lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office. Collaborating within a diverse team, you’ll contribute to the team’s performance and drive continuous improvement.
Here’s an overview of your future role:
Employment type: Full-time
Shift: Day Shift (Mon – Fri 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM)
Work setup: Permanent WFH
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is nice to have only.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Australian Accounting and Taxation practice.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, taxation laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, including Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) for a diverse range of clients.
- Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency, identifying potential discrepancies and proposing adjustments as needed.
- Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and other entities, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
- Prepare and review documentation for lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), including tax returns, BAS, IAS, and other required forms.
- Ensure all lodgments are completed accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and insights, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team’s performance.
