Job Description & Requirements
Job scope:
- Manage construction activities, ensuring timely and smooth progress of the operations.
- Responsible for implementing the work plan and attending project meetings.
- Resolve design site problems encountered during the construction period.
- Producing site progress reports to management.
- Monitor and ensure subcontractors comply with specified requirements.
- Identify and comply with all applicable statutory/regulatory requirements related to the project.
- Coordination and sequencing of works of different sub-contractors.
- Identify possible risks to the project and stakeholders as well as create contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
- Respond swiftly to work delays, emergencies, and other problems.
- Clear communication to external parties including client, sub-contractors, consultant, vendor, etc on project needs, requirements, and schedule by means of daily construction oversight.
- Take responsibility to manage the construction work on-site according to the agreed plan and to provide weekly reports.
- Provide design input to the Project & Design Team for the most efficient and cost-effective on-site construction procedures.
- Ensure all construction activities meet stringent Workplace, Health, and Safety guidelines and regulations.
- Close-out projects during testing and commission, defect list, and handover stage.
- Oversee all project activities, including project schedule, staff development, site safety, and security.
- Responsible to manage each phase of the project from design to completion and ensuring efficient use of resources and enhance cost-effectiveness.
- Responsible for setting guidelines and providing expertise and management to the team.
- Identify possible risks to the project and stakeholders as well as create contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
- To Act as the Technical Controller, he must personally supervise the execution and performance of any general building work in Singapore, that the builder undertakes to be carried out.
- In addition, the builder had duties prescribed to it under the Building Control Act.
- Must be familiar with Building Control Act by BCA
Requirement:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised Unversity.
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in the execution of building works. (essential)
- Able to work within tight timelines and under pressure.
- Aptitude in problem-solving and Meticulous to details.
- Committed, positive attitude & able to handle projects independently in a fast-paced working environment.
- Possess good interpersonal skills to communicate with people of all levels.
