Get to know the Team

The Cities and Expansion Team manages all of Grab’s businesses outside the capital, Metro Manila. The role supports the astronomical growth of Grab’s footprint across the country, and is responsible for creating and managing key partner relationships, such as out partner-distributors, merchants, and key city partnerships

Get to know the Role

Grow and manage Grab’s business in Luzon OTC – whether it will be launching new areas, services, crafting cost-efficient growth strategies, or working closely with government bodies and private stakeholders. The role is Cabanatuan based and involves working with different teams.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Represent Grab in meetings with government and public/private sector stakeholders to ensure regulation compliance prior to city launch
  • Work-with driver engagement team to build strong relationships with driver communities in expansion cities
  • Coordinate with different department heads to plan and execute any changes involving events, payouts, promos, etc.
  • Monitor the performance of expansion cities and lead on-ground team in the execution of growth tactics
  • Design strategies that consider market and competitive analysis, and customer segment penetration plans that support business growth and enhance brand equity
  • Work-with merchants team in building relationships with partner merchants. Continuously engage our merchants and listening to their needs, feedback, and stay in close communications

The Must-Haves

  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management, and Strategic Planning and Execution
  • Able to manage relationships with private stakeholders and government entities
  • Has a track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and enforce processes and plans
  • Widely exposed to strategic problem solving and business operation

The Nice-to-Haves

  • Management consulting, investment banking, business partnering, transport planning or similar corporate experience
  • Familiarity with SQL and other analytical tools
